The Tim O'Dwyer Trio with Clayton Thomas (Bass), Darren Moore (Drums) and Tim O'Dwyer Alto and Baritone Saxophones/ Compositions combine the intense interplay of free jazz, the simple heaviness of rock and the complexity of modern composition, creating a music with visceral impact and free-wheeling excitement. John Clare in the Sydney Morning Herald describes the experience seeing the band as: "The three jammed the power on with such severity ...You know the feeling: phwoof! This is great; I wonder if everyone else can feel it. The response showed that they surely could." Since 2005 they have been taking their avante- jazz compositions and high energy performances around the globe including tours of Australia and Japan, the Mosaic Festival Singapore in collaboration with Robin Fox and Aya Sekine producing 'Stella Regions' a tribute to John Coltrane, the Brave Festival Poland, and Berlin and the famous Montreuz Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They have performed at all of the major jazz festivals in Australia including Jazz:Now at the Sydney Opera House, The Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and appeared twice at the Melbourne Jazz Festival.
