Eine energetische Rhythmusgruppe treibt zwei unbekümmert filigrane Holzbläser an. Die Nüchternheit einfacher, zarter Melodien trifft auf komplexe rhythmische Strukturen. Zerbrechliche Bläserakkorde gehen einher mit der klanglichen Rauheit von Kontrabass und Schlagzeug. Bi-tonale Zentren werden aufgebaut und mit intensiven, freien Improvisationen der Musiker verbunden.
Die Musik steht im Zeichen eines bedingungslosen Zusammenklangs der vier Instrumentalisten.
Stilistisch findet Das Blaue Pony seinen Weg durch den musikalischen Dschungel über polyphone Kammermusik, zeitgenössischen Jazz, Neuer Musik, Waits-scher Schroffheit hin zu und Groove-Einflüssen elektronischer Musik der letzten zwei Jahrzehnte.

The sobriety of simple and delicate melodies meeting complex rhythmic structures. Fragile chords played by the reeds going hand in hand with the tonal roughness of doublebass and drums. Centers of bitonality arise and connect to an intensive free improvisation. The unconditional appreciation between the four instrumentalist is the heart of the music.
The compositions of „Das Blaue Pony" find its way through the jungle of music from chamber music, contemporary jazz, new music, the brusqueness of Tom Waits and groove influences of electronic music.
